committees

The Ridgway Historic Neighborhood Association has established several volunteer-led committees to help develop, plan, and put on a slew of upcoming events and neighborhood efforts, but we need YOU to make them a success!

ISSUE-BASED COMMITTEES
  • Emergency Preparation Committee — A network of block captains equipped to better assist their fellow neighbors in emergency and disaster preparation as well as response during an actual event.
  • Ridgway Clean Team — A Ridgway-wide volunteer effort to organize regular neighborhood clean ups and special bulky item pickups.

EVENT COMMITTEES
  • Garden Tour Committee — This inaugural event will feature a walking garden tour of homes and the community garden in the Ridgway Historic District.
  • Infrastructure Tours Committee — A series of educational tours covering our diverse public utilities, including power, water, sewer, and refuse/recycle.
  • Spring Clean Yard Sale Committee  — A District-wide yard sale that will help residents clear their homes of clutter and help the Association raise funds for the annual summer block party.
  • Summer Block Party Committee — A party for the entire neighborhood—from the wee ones to the children-at-heart.
  • Winter Walk Historic Home Tour Committee — A walking tour of historic homes and buildings in the Ridgway Historic District heading into its second installment.

SPECIAL COMMITTEES
  • Davis House Development Committee — A group of affected residents and RHNA members who are actively following the progress of the planned development of the historic Davis Ranch House property. This committee will maintain constant contact with the project applicant, city staff, and the Association.
  • The Sequoia Green Townhomes Development Committee — A group of affected residents and RHNA members who are actively following the progress of the planned development of four lots at the corner of Ridgway Avenue & Glenn Street. This committee will maintain constant contact with the project applicant, city staff, and the Association.

For more information on any of these committees, please email the Association at ridgwayhistoricna@gmail.com.
